Clinical peptide therapy for libido restoration in men and women. PT-141 works on the central nervous system — the part of arousal that's actually about wanting. Administered and supervised by Dr. Flávio, DNP, AACC.

PT-141 (bremelanotide) is an FDA-approved peptide that restores sexual desire by acting on melanocortin receptors in the brain — a completely different mechanism than ED drugs like Viagra or Cialis.
At Solace Wellness Aesthetics in Fort Myers, PT-141 therapy is supervised by Dr. Flávio, DNP, AACC. Treatment begins with a $250 consultation that includes a full medical history review, blood pressure screening, and protocol design. Standard PT-141 protocols start at $295/month for 10 doses. Self-administered subcutaneous injection 30-45 minutes before activity. Effects last 6-10 hours.
The Difference
For decades, treatment for sexual dysfunction has focused on blood flow — Viagra, Cialis, Levitra. These drugs help with the mechanical part of sex. But they don't address the underlying issue most patients struggle with: wanting it in the first place.
PT-141 works on the central nervous system. Specifically, it activates melanocortin-4 receptors (MC4R) in the hypothalamus — the area of the brain that governs sexual desire. Clinical trials in over 3,000 patients showed meaningful improvement in libido and satisfaction. The FDA approved bremelanotide (brand name Vyleesi) in 2019 for women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder. At Solace, Dr. Flávio uses PT-141 off-label for men as well — particularly cases where ED meds work physically but desire is missing.

Candidates
PT-141 is appropriate for adults with low libido who have ruled out reversible causes (hormone deficiency, certain medications, depression, sleep deprivation, relationship issues). The ideal candidate has:
Premenopausal or perimenopausal women experiencing distressing low desire. FDA-approved indication.
Men whose erection function is intact (with or without ED meds) but desire is absent. Often correlated with high stress, antidepressants, or aging.
Hormonal life transitions where libido has shifted and standard hormone therapy alone isn't enough.
Long-term partners where libido has drifted but the relationship is otherwise strong. PT-141 helps restore the spark.
Not appropriate for: patients with uncontrolled hypertension or cardiovascular disease, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with allergies to peptide components, or anyone under 18.
How Treatment Works
Private, confidential intake with Dr. Flávio. Full medical history, current medications, blood pressure screening, lab review (if available), discussion of expectations and concerns.
If hormone-driven low libido is suspected, Dr. Flávio may recommend hormone panel testing first. PT-141 works better when underlying deficiencies (testosterone, thyroid, cortisol) are corrected.
Initial PT-141 dose given at our Fort Myers location with vitals monitored. Some patients experience mild nausea or flushing on first dose — we want to be present for this. You wait 30-45 minutes, monitor effects, and we adjust dose if needed.
You leave with a 1-month supply, self-injection training, and clear dosing instructions. Standard protocol: 1.75mg subcutaneously 30-45 min before activity, up to 3x/week.
Phone or in-person review. We adjust dose, timing, or add complementary therapies based on your experience.
Once dialed in, monthly refills shipped or picked up. Dr. Flávio re-evaluates every 90 days. Most patients run continuous protocol; some cycle on/off based on relationship rhythm.
